FAQs
The core things users need to know about writing, sealing, storing, and receiving letters in Someday.
About Someday
What is Someday?
Someday is a place to write a letter to your future self and have it waiting for you later. It is built for reflection, memory, and meaningful delivery across time.
How far into the future can I schedule a letter?
You can schedule letters months or even years into the future. Many people choose milestones such as one year, five years, birthdays, anniversaries, or major life events.
Can I send a letter to someone else?
Right now, Someday is designed mainly for writing to your future self. Support for sending letters to other people may come later.
What happens if Someday stops operating?
Someday is being built as a long-term service. If that ever changes, users would be contacted with clear next steps for accessing their letters.
Writing Letters
How do I create a letter?
After you sign in, go to your letters area and start a new letter. When you are ready to schedule it, you will choose a delivery date and a delivery address.
Can I save drafts?
Yes. You can save a draft while you write and come back to it later. You do not need to choose a delivery date or address until you are ready to schedule the letter.
Can I edit a letter after scheduling it?
No. Once you schedule a letter, it becomes sealed. You will not be able to read or edit it again until the delivery date arrives.
Can I delete a letter?
Draft letters can be deleted whenever you want. If a scheduled letter needs to be stopped before delivery, it should be treated as a cancellation request.
Delivery
Why do I need an address?
Someday is meant to deliver a real letter in the future, so a delivery address is needed before a letter can be scheduled.
Will I need to confirm my address again?
Possibly. If your delivery date is getting close, you may be asked to confirm that your address is still correct.
What if my address changes before delivery?
If you move, you should update your details before the letter is due. Someday is designed to support address confirmation before delivery when needed.
What happens after I schedule my letter?
Your letter becomes sealed and waits for its delivery date. Until then, the content stays hidden and unavailable for editing.
Privacy & Security
Who can read my letter?
Your letter is meant to stay private. It is written for you, and the service is designed so that your content remains hidden until delivery.
Is my letter encrypted?
Yes. Someday is designed to store letters securely and keep them private until the delivery date.
Is my letter secure?
Yes. Privacy and security are a core part of the product. Letter content is protected and treated as something personal and confidential.
